John Manzo is an investment associate at GSV AcceleraTE. Prior to joining GSV team in June 2018, John worked at Goldman Sachs in New York as a fixed income bond trader, and Wells Fargo as a Strategy Consultant in San Francisco. John graduated cum laude from Harvard University in 2015 with a BA in economics. At Harvard, John was president and managing partner of the Harvard Investment Association Fund and a member of the Men’s Varsity Volleyball team.

Julia brings an extraordinary breadth of "PreK to Gray" education and workforce innovation insights to the GSV AcceleraTE team. She was most recently VP at Coursera where she started and scaled Coursera’s enterprise business sector, Coursera’s fastest growing business line. Julia was Coursera’s first business hire, leading its early work around monetization and global expansion. Her previous experience includes managing the Google Apps for Education team, being a Program Director for Teach for America, and teaching 4th grade in East San Jose. 

Julia has a BA from Pomona, and an MBA and MA in education from Stanford University. She is based in San Francisco and can be reached at julia@gsvaccelerate.com.

Fred Fisher is an investment associate at GSV

Fred Fisher is an investment associate at GSV AcceleraTE. Prior to joining the GSV team in July 2017, Fred worked as a technology investment banking analyst at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in Palo Alto. While at BAML, Fred mainly focused on enterprise software transactions, including a buy-side advisory role during Salesforce’s acquisition of Demandware. Fred was also the first intern at Catalant, a key player in the burgeoning gig economy sector. Fred graduated from Harvard University in 2015 and holds a BA in Economics. While at Harvard, Fred was a member of the Men’s Varsity Golf team.

Karina Jhangiani is an investment associate at GSV AcceleraTE. Prior to joining the GSV team, Karina worked as an investment banking analyst at Citigroup in New York. Karina graduated Magna Cum Laude from Northwestern University in 2015 and holds a BA in Economics with minors in Business Institutions and Asian Studies alongside the Kellogg Undergraduate Certificate in Financial Economics. While at Northwestern, Karina served as the head technology investor for Northwestern’s Investment Management Group.

Deborah currently serves on the boards of Ascend Learning (a portfolio company of Blackstone and CCCP), Degreed, The Educational Testing Service (ETS), Fairygodboss, Lightneer and Remind. From 2011-2016, Michael was a Director at GSV Advisors, co-managing Deborah Quazzo’s angel portfolio of 48 learning and talent technology companies and scaling the ASU GSV Summit, an annual event now in its 10th year, with over 4,000 in attendees, that celebrates innovations and innovators across the global “PreK to Gray” learning and talent landscape. Michael holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management (Northwestern University) and a BBA from the University of Michigan. Michael currently lives in Chicago with his wife Shawna and their sons Taylor and Hayden.
